Weekend Wonder

We believe that wonder knows no season so bring your curiosity to this once-a-month Saturday series. Held at the Bunker Interpretive Center, we're bringing in experts of all kinds to increase your knowledge, skills, and joy for the world around us. Weekend Wonder is for adults and older children. Activities for children 3 & up provided by our environmental educators!

September 20 - Monitoring Monarchs with John Ball Zoo

Makayla Johnson from JBZ will give presentation on monarch monitoring efforts and lead a demonstration in the native gardens; Kids' activities available

October 11 - Seed Saving

Seed saving with greenhouse staff Benji & Sarah; Kids' activities also offered

November 15 - DIY Seasonal Decor

Responsibly harvesting natural materials, using them to make seasonal decor. Facilitated by Lea Sevigny / Joyful Wildcrafting

January 10 - Astronomy: Jupiter at opposition

February 14 - Superb Owls

Featuring staff and animals from Blandford Nature Center
