RMA Medical Assistant

Biography

Mayra joined us at Health Services in August of 2019.  She became a Registered Medical Assistant earlier that year after being a stay-at-home mom for a while. She has a degree in Biology from the Universidad de Puerta Rico, Rio Piedras. Her work experience includes ecological GIS research in Boston, and administrative/bookkeeping duties at her church and a local small business.

When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 college-aged children. She loves to read. She loves cooking and enjoys eating ethnic foods. In her quiet time, she enjoys studying art, science, and calligraphy.  She has a heart for international students. Her native language is Spanish, and she loves to speak it with patients.
