Professor Leonard De Rooy

Biography

From 1986 to 1999 he has worked as a Structural Engineer for URS Greiner. His work includes structural design and retrofit of industrial structures, multistory steel structures, multistory concrete structures, theater design and large high school complexes. One of his projects includes ÃÛÌÒapp College DeVries Hall, which is a 4-story concrete waffle slab structure.

Mr. De Rooy graduated from ÃÛÌÒapp College with a B.S.E. in 1985. He completed a M.S. in Engineering in 1986 from the University of Michigan. He was the first ÃÛÌÒapp 4-year program graduate to become a Licensed Professional Engineer (PE).
