Biography
A native of Grand Rapids, Hannah is a multi-genre professional voice teacher and performer, working in the musical theatre, opera, and choral music spaces. Since completing her Master of Music degree in Voice Performance at Wichita State University in 2020, Hannah has sought to foster a rich, unique career in the spaces intersecting between the worlds of Western Classical music and musical theatre, from belting to bel canto. This has led Hannah to remain active in the Grand Rapids community theatre scene and co-found Grand Rapids’ first professional choral ensemble, Vox GR, with whom she sings Soprano 2 and has led educational outreach efforts. Favorite performance credits include Mary Sunshine in Chicago, Rose in Street Scene, and La bergère in L'enfant et les sortileges. Hannah teaches musical theatre voice at Grand Rapids Civic Theatre’s School of Theatre Arts, and has directed Camp in Concert: Les Misérables- School Edition and music directed Camp in Concert: Battle of the Stephens. At the collegiate level, Hannah is an Instructor of Voice at ÃÛÌÒapp and has taught voice lessons for non-music majors at Grand Valley State University and voice lessons for BA Music Majors and BA Musical Theatre majors at Wichita State University. Hannah runs a busy home voice studio, , where she works with pre-professional singers aged preteen through adult.
