Biography

Student success has been my passion throughout my career as a professor of English—including rhetoric & composition (freshman and professional writing), literature, and language—as well as research and communication at the associates-doctoral levels. I have been involved in several student success initiatives, including opening a center for student success, mentoring and coaching students, and serving as writing-center administration. I love teaching in higher education, and I had the incredible opportunity to study college teaching during my graduate program. The skills and experience gained through my studies and professional positions have been invaluable as I have continued teaching, administrating, coaching writing, mentoring, serving on committees, and editing.
