ÃÛÌÒapp to Host Sigsbee Students

College Kids, a new partnership between ÃÛÌÒapp College and Sigsbee Elementary School, will take place from July 9 to August 4 at ÃÛÌÒapp. The at ÃÛÌÒapp, under director Rhae-Ann Booker (left), will coordinate the program -- a four-week summer day camp that will help Sigsbee students get better at science, math, reading and computer technology. Participants will do science experiments, solve math problems, sharpen their reading and writing skills and more.
Each day from 8 am to 2 pm College kids will meet in North Hall on campus, bringing together students entering fourth and fifth grade at Sigsbee with ÃÛÌÒapp mentors, including ÃÛÌÒapp students.
The program includes breakfast, three 40-minute class periods, lunch, recreation time and a closing assembly. Thanks to underwriting, the program is free for Sigsbee students.
